This Week In Big Bear

It's another gorgeous summer day in Big Bear Lake! A few clouds are breaking up the normally solid blue sky for a nice change of pace. We might even see a thunderstorm or two! Now is the time to come up and enjoy the lake before the seasons change!

The Current Forecast

"Expect a few afternoon clouds Wednesday but any thundershower development will be very isolated, if at all. Fair & dryer through the weekend with temperatures close to normal as highs climb into the upper 70s as overnights generally cool into the 40s. An increase in moisture may bring a return of afternoon thundershowers by early next week."

Make your plans now! This weekend is full of events...something for everyone.

Antique & Classic Wooden Boat Show - The Annual Antique Wooden Boat Show at B's Backyard BBQ takes place on Saturday August 22nd and Sunday August 23rd. Presented by the Antique and Classic Boat Society.

Art on the Lake - The Arts Council strives to bring nothing but exceptional photographers, painters, jewelers, and sculpters to this annual event. There are 60 artists from throughout Southern California exhibiting and selling their work. Open to the public - no admission fee.

Big Bear Renaissance Faire - Come to the Faire to meet the Queen and her Court, see jesters and jousters, dine on the finest of Renaissance Faire, learn the ways of old, and perhaps purchase a trinket or two.

Native American Arts Festival - The Native American Arts Festival features arts and crafts for sale by the artisans themselves! You can talk with the artist/craftsperson and see how they make things. Plus experience Native American song, dance, and storytelling.

The 11th Annual Big Bear Cowboy Gathering - he Gathering always features outstanding musicians, authors, storytellers and poets and this year looks to be the best. Kicks off Thursday night with a Ranch Dinner and Get-Together featuring many of the performers.

Friday Nights in the Village - Come to the Village in Big Bear every Friday night to enjoy family entertainment, great shopping, restaurants, arts and crafts fair, live music and more in the Village of Big Bear Lake.
