The Opening Ceremony for the Big Bear Bridge took place on June 24, 2011 and was a great celebration! After more than 20 years of planning and 2 years of construction, the new bridge is complete and will make travel to Big Bear Lake even easier!
The new structure is located on the south side of the dam with three 12-foot travel lanes, 10-foot shoulders, and an ADA compliant sidewalk on one side.
"The people of the Big Bear Valley and all those who visit this community are happy to see this bridge open." Senate Leader Bob Dutton said.
