Dawsons Peak Voted Best View!

Check It Out! One of our very own vacation homes has been recently voted as 1 of TripAdvisor's Top 10 for Best Views!

Check it out Here!

I've been to this home a few times and it truly is magnificent! The view of the deck is different than the typical Big Bear View. Surrounded by forest and facing east, the deck offers another perspective on Big Bear, minus the lake. I felt more secluded it this house than I expected. Pretty cool. Check out some of the shots I took recently. Rain or Shine this home stands out!

Just Passing Through

Weather continues to move through the area, although it seems the heavy stuff has passed. It is gorgeous out right now and a perfect day to be out and around town. Make sure to pack some warmer clothes if you plan on coming up as the nights have started to get quite chilly. One more weekend left for this years Oktoberfest Celebration! And don't forget about trick-or-treat in the Village! Not sure what I am going to be this year but I definitely want to get some candy!

Rainy Days!

We are getting our first taste of the winter season as storms roll through the valley this week. While the temps aren't that bad there has been quite a bit of rain and hail...and lots of thunder and lightning! I keep hearing myths of snow but I think only at much higher elevations, which is good cause I am not ready for that yet. I really like the fall season in the mountains. Even though it's kinda nasty out it makes for excellent runs through the woods with the pups.

The Current Weather Forecast

"A cutoff upper level low pressure system currently drifting eastward over northern Baja will continue to draw in wrap around through Wednesday bringing scattered showers & thunderstorms, with storms much like Tuesday capable of producing locally heavy rain, gusty winds, frequent lightning and hail. The low will slowly lift northeastward Wednesday night into Thursday, bringing an end to thundershower activity"

Fall has Arrived in Big Bear Lake!

It seemed like Summer temps carried on for quite a while this year. Not this weekend! If you like Fall in the mountains now is the time to be here. With temps reaching 60's during the day and dropping to the 20's at night...cool, crisp days await! I am a big fan of this time of year. The cooler temps make for really enjoyable hiking, biking and rock climbing in the valley. It also mean we can have a fire at night to keep the house warm! It is still nice enough to enjoy the lake as well. Fishing off the shore...or for those brave enough...wakeboarding in the morning, with a wetsuit on of course! Another great part about this time of year is that the crowds really do leave Big Bear. They will return once the snow starts, but until then, us locals seem to have the mountain to ourselves. Come up an join us and see how peaceful Fall in Big Bear Lake is!
