This battle will be showcasing males vs. females in three categories that include: a snowboard rail jam, fashion shows, and DJ battles. This fun filled event will take place in the Bartlett parking lot in the Village. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of breast cancer, the importance of early detection, and the value of living an active lifestyle.  This also allows women to playfully participate against the guys in a fun, non-competitive atmosphere.

Big Bear kicked off the New Year by proudly welcoming back Team Jordan Romero. The team consists of Paul Romero, 15 year old Jordan Romero and Karen Lundgren who have recently returned home to Big Bear after completing the 7 Summits, the 7 highest peaks on each of the continents. Jordan is the youngest person to reach the top of all 7 of the Summits and is a true inspiration to our community. We commend him for his strength and determination and appreciate his message to our youth to stay active and healthy and to reach for the stars!

Who's Got Snow? Big Bear Does!

Despite the lack of snow in other Western regions, Big Bear is able to provide the most reliable snow conditions. With our snowmaking efforts and early season snowfalls providing us average snow depths of 1-3 feet, we have nearly 100% of our runs are open, that's almost 438 skiable acres! While the weather has been relatively mild for the valleys and beaches, we have been making snow nightly and the conditions are great!

Our snowmaking systems can convert about 5,000 to 6,000 gallons of water per minute into snow! The Snow Play areas in Big Bear also have great snowmaking capabilities to ensure fun for your family through Easter! Big Bear also has the largest snow play hill featuring the longest runs in the San Bernardino Mountains. Don’t miss out on the most open skiing and tubing terrain in Southern California.
