Mid-Week Update

Hello from 7,000 feet!

In case you were wondering, the weather right now is amazing! Cold nights and sunny days make now the perfect time to experience skiing and snowboarding the Southern California way!

Current Snow Report:

"The runs are in great shape and even though Southern California is in a warm spell, Big Bear is a unique Alpine mountain resort where the weather is considerably cooler. We've had little or no melting of our deep snow pack in our cool dry mountain air at our 7,000 ft to 8,000 ft elevations. The surface condition is generally machine groomed hard pack a varies slightly from run to run throughout the day. Enjoy little to no lift lines mid
week."

This Week's Forecast:

Nice weather will continue all week long as high pressure brings us temperatures near to a little above seasonable levels as highs climb into the 50s, while lows cool into the 20s. Minor cooling is expected by the weekend but still no signs of any storms, anytime soon.

Don't be discouraged by the lack of natural snow. Both mountain resorts have an excellent base and groom their runs at night to ensure a good snow pack during the day. While the afternoons can be a bit slushy, the snow early in the day is outstanding! Come mid-week and experience little to no lift lines on the slopes and great deals on lodging.
