After the last few storms pass through here in Big Bear Lake, the Spring Flowers are finally in bloom and the forecast is looking great. It's time to kick off the 2012 boating and fishing season! So it's time to hook up the boat, pack up your fishing gear, and head to Big Bear Lake for some Spring-time fun! For more information about fishing licenses, boat permits, or Big Bear Lake please visit Big Bear Lake Municipal Water District website.

Or if you are more of a nature buff you can always volunteer to assist the Big Bear Ranger Station's Native Plant Nursery and Restoration Program. No experience necessary. Bring hat, sunscreen, your favorite pair of gloves and a sack lunch. Meet at the Big Bear Ranger Station flagpole @ 9am. The Big Bear Ranger Station is located ¼ mile east of the Big Bear Discovery Center. For more information on volunteering please call 909-382-2824 or visit the National Forest Association's website.
